Studying Chinese
Learning to speak Mandarin Chinese, the world’s most common language, is one of the most important things you can do while living in China. Since LC Chinese School is primarily a place to learn the Chinese language and culture, Guangzhou is great for learning Mandarin. When you join LC Chinese School’s Teach in China program, you have access to its Chinese language learning environment. This is a big plus.
Teaching Choices
Elementary School
Teaching Chinese to kids in elementary school can be a rewarding experience. Students who learn English from a native speaker at a young age have a considerable advantage over many of their peers that will help them for the rest of their lives. Parents, teachers, and students at all levels of education in China have a very high opinion of English teachers.
Middle and high schools
Most Chinese students spend the last six years of their compulsory education at the same school. Over the years, LC Chinese School has carefully chosen the schools where its Teach in China participants work. Teachers and administrators are always happy to have new teachers from LC Chinese School.
Curriculum
There is no standard way to teach. Participants in Teach in China must follow the rules for their teaching jobs. Most of LC Chinese School’s partner schools in China, like most schools in China, leave it up to the English teacher to plan the lessons.
