1. Do I get my own key to the house?
Absolutely.
2. Are there places where I can wash my clothes?
Yes, definitely. Your host family will sometimes even do your laundry for you
3. How about if I want to stay out late?
No problem, but please be respectful of the home. If you also plan to be away for a while, you could let your homestay know so they don’t have to worry.
4. Can I have someone stay with me for the night?
You cannot.
5. What will I know before I go to China about my family?
We’ll send you a document with information about each family member before you arrive. Along with their address and other details, we’ll tell you a little bit about them so you know who they are before you get there.
6. Can I switch homestay families if I don’t like them?
Yes, it can be set up. Even though this happens very rarely, don’t worry or freak out if things aren’t going as planned. If we need to, we can make a plan to change.
7. Can I book a homestay at LC Chinese School but not take language classes?
No. Homestays are a top priority for our full-time Chinese students.
